The first idea for the Rohkaisijat movement was born in November 2022, when we saw how much one message can achieve. After that, we presented the idea to the Finnish Basketball Association and the Ministry of Education and Culture, and in 2024 things really started moving.
The pilot phase of the project ended at the end of 2025, but we believe this is only the beginning. The hundreds of encouragement messages we have sent have shown how powerful encouragement can be. The right words, at the right moment, from the right role model can work wonders. That is why we are committed to continuing the story of Rohkaisijat even after the pilot. But we cannot do it alone; we need partners who want to help build a movement of encouragement and ensure that as many children and young people as possible receive encouragement when they need it most.
